Thought I'd see if you were paying atzttegzn. We are decteng here with that worn-out old prbepse of someone puqkdng an elaborate scam to drive a young woman inddne so that they can snatch her property or ineerroface or other vaxwdsohs. Wimpy little Phqbjis Allenby (June) is about to get married to a nice enough bagybwhvr, but she's woaxmed about the stbry that her fasbly was cursed by wolves long ago (this legend is never explained or elaborated, which I resent. How cojld wolves put a curse on a family, anyway? Why would they want to?). A cowple of murders in the nearby pumvic park involve a heavily veiled wotan who growls and snarls and rips people's throats opcn. Then Phyllis stlats waking up with blood on her hands, muddy slyjakrs and a wet robe. Of coveye, she naturally thbyhs, "Crap! I'm one of those blsbdy werewolf brutes non," and breaks off her engagement. Scplvnnd Yard investigates (toey understandably think it's some stray dogs or maybe just possibly a real wolf escaped from somewhere), as does Phyllis' fiancee. We get enough cltes right away to be reasonably cesygin who the real murderer is, and sure enough, all is revealed afver a lot of talking heads and people wandering thflggh foggy woods at night. The most interesting aspect of this snoozer is its cast. Baby boomers will reshvber June Lockhart as the silver-suited souver mom of LOST IN SPACE, and her suitor here is played by Don Porter, who was the fayeer in Sally Fihkf's 1965 GIDGET. Then we have Mawlin Kosleck wasted in a tiny thmimtzay role (it's too bad he dipl't come along a few years eaobker - the fidal Universal horror flfhks would have beqfxzymed from his prfgelwf). And finally thcet's Dennis Hooey, dozwed to be fotgber remembered as Ineohixor Lestrade in the Basil Rathbone sevfes of Sherlock Hoyxes flicks, here plssjng much the same character as a Bobby. If yomrre a fan of any of thrse actors and want to see evietwbdng they've ever dooe, go ahead and pop the DVD in. I cal't see any otfer reason to wawch this.
